Craniosacral Therapy (CST) has historical roots in the bone setting practices of indigenous healers and more recent roots in osteopathic medicine. While we often think of our bones and skeleton as solid and static, they are actually dynamic and alive. Our bones, as well as all of the tissues and organs of our bodies, have a natural quality of breath, flow and rhythm to them. Life experiences of stress, injury, illness, trauma and loss all impact our system’s ability to move freely and can create areas of tension, stagnation, pain, immobility. Craniosacral therapy relies upon a deep listening to the cranial rhythms of the body and movement of cerebral spinal fluid. CST moves with the current movement patterns in the muscles, bones, fascia, organs and cerebral spinal fluid, to support restoration of natural fluidity, ease and expansion.

Training/Education
My CST certification training with Pat O’Rourke, grounds me in both the biomechanic (physical body systems) and biodynamic (energetic body systems) aspects of Craniosacral Therapy. It is an effective combination of gentle yet profound work on physical, energetic, emotional and mental levels. If anyone were to ask me what my favorite type of bodywork is, it’s craniosacral therapy! I value the versatility of the modality and the ways it has helped me with current injury healing as well as historical healing (stretching back as early as birth!). I continue to learn and deepen my CST skills through trainings with Lauren Christman.
I have my Washington State intraoral endorsement.
Prior to studying craniosacral therapy, I completed my massage therapy training at DiscoveryPoint School of Massage in Seattle.
